Tempest in the Wilderness Blog questions

1. Q: How were the Irish and the Natives alike?

A: Because both of them lived in nature. They both used furs for clothing. Also, their women were treated equally and did most of the farm work. Last they put less importance on bathing than the English.

2. Q: What was the reasoning of the spread of Christianity to the Natives?

A: To make them more sophisticated and to take away all of their savagery. Also, if the natives and the Spanish belived in the same ideas, then the Spanish and the natives wouldn’t have to fight over the freedom of their beliefs and differences.

3. Q: Why were the Natives and Irish treated like savages?

Well because to the English they were considered unsophisticated and savages. The English viewed them as living outside of civilization, and they didn't do anything the English way. Like, build cities the correct way or farm the correct way.
